This racetrack sculpture depicts the layout of Sturup Raceway, a motor racing circuit located in Svedala, Sweden. It has been owned and operated by the Danish Brask organization since 2001. It was opened in 1972 as a Rallycross venue. After revamping in 2004 it got a track extension from 1.1 kilometers to 2.1 kilometers with a new pit lane. Sturup held rounds of both the Swedish Touring Car Championship and Danish Touringcar Championship in 2008, but neither returned in 2009. The new Scandinavian Touring Car Championship returned to Sturup in 2012.
