It hosts a number of motorsport events including British Touring Cars and Formula 3 racing. The tracks runs 3.79 km in length with 11 turns. Thruxton Circuit is another example of airfield-turned-into-racetrack. The circuit has been used to host motor racing events since 1950; with the circuit initially being used to host motorcycle races from 1950 and motor racing since 1952.
